This 4-day, 3-night Shri Kedarnath Ji Yatra package, offered by Yamuna Travels, is designed for pilgrims seeking a spiritual journey to the sacred Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and a key site in the Char Dham Yatra, located at ~3,583 meters in the Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand. The package includes a trek to Kedarnath from Gaurikund, with Sonprayag as the base, and visits to spiritual sites like Triyuginarayan Temple and Haridwar’s Har ki Pauri.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Haridwar / Drive to Sonprayag

Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport (nearest airport, ~35 km from Haridwar). A Yamuna Travels representative will receive you and transfer you to a vehicle for the drive to Sonprayag (~190 km from Haridwar, 7–8 hours). Check into your hotel in Sonprayag. Evening at leisure to acclimatize to the high altitude. Optional visit to a nearby temple or rest. Overnight stay in Sonprayag.

Day 2 -Transfer to Gaurikund / Trek to Kedarnath Ji / Temple Darshan

Early morning transfer to Gaurikund (~5 km, 20–30 minutes by shared taxi or shuttle, not included). Start the ~16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple (5–7 hours, depending on pace). Alternatively, book a helicopter from Phata/Sirsi (subject to availability, not included) or hire a pony/palki from Gaurikund. Visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and attend the evening aarti. Overnight stay in Kedarnath at a Bhavan Shri Bikaner House ( 50 meter walk from Temple).

Day 3-Return to Gaurikund / Drive to Rudraprayag

After morning darshan (if desired), trek back or take a helicopter to Gaurikund. Transfer to Sonprayag by shared taxi or shuttle (~5 km, 20–30 minutes, not included). Drive to Rudraprayag (~75 km, 3–4 hours), stopping en route at Triyuginarayan Temple (believed to be the site of Lord Shiva and Parvati’s marriage). Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

Day 4-Return to Haridwar / Departure

Drive back to Haridwar (~135 km, 5–6 hours). Visit Har ki Pauri for a dip in the Ganga or attend the Ganga Aarti, time permitting. Transfer to Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport for your onward journey.
